BSc Sports Science (Outdoor Activities) UCAS code: C600

At Leeds, Sports Science (Outdoor Activities) enables you to study science in a context applicable to adventure sports. Taking biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor control, sports psychology and textiles as starting points, you study how these impact on performance, from a theoretical standpoint and in a laboratory setting.

You apply this to your own outdoor pursuit interests, in some cases basing the laboratory work within that activity. You should have an interest in one or more adventurous activities, although you do not have to have performed at a high level. Y

ou may take National Governing Body coaching awards in activities of your choice. You also learn communication skills, analytical skills and technical expertise, making you a very marketable graduate.
