FdSc in Sports Coaching
At the University of Huddersfield we have developed a dynamic, two year Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching. The course focuses on students
identifying their own strengths in coaching and areas for improvement and a programme of activity to improve skills to meet the changing
standards of the national governing body (NGB) requirements and the UK Coaching Certificate (UKCC).
Whilst studying the FdSc Sports Coaching programme students will become familiar with the underpinning disciplines in sports coaching, such as
coaching science, the coaching sector, coaching practice and professional development.
At least 25% of their credits are dedicated to work-based learning and core skill development and as a result, we are looking to form some great relationships with local industry and potential employers, offering exciting work placements to hone their skills.
If you could help we have willing volunteers who are CRB checked and hold a minimum level one coaching qualification. Please contact the course leader for further information.
