Cycling

British Cycling Activity Coach Award for Teachers

You may be aware that we are proposing to run a one day course for this award at the Richard Dunn Centre in Bradford on 19 March from 9am to 4pm. The usual cost is £95 but we have been able to secure funding for 12 free places.

Priority for this funding has to go to the schools that took part in our PESSCL programme in 2007 but after that, it's first come first served. However, if you are late in applying don't despair as British Cycling has applied for more funding from Sport England to fund all the places on the course. We will know about this funding bid sometime next week.

Details of the course can  be found at http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/web/site/BC/coa/acat_award.asp

Please download the application form and send it direct to headquarters but please also drop me an email so that I have an idea of response.

Please also note that the course is only for candidates who have Qualified Teacher Status and that unfortunately we are unable to fund supply cover.

If anyone needs more information please do not hesitate to get in touch.

UKCC Tutor / Assessor Training Courses

Is anyone interested in either Tutoring or Assessing the new UKCC’s (United Kingdom Coaching Certificate)?

The information and the down loadable booking form is on the EN web site under "Get Involved".

May 10th, 11th, and 31st               West Midlands  (venue TBC)
September 13th, 14th and 27th       South East (Venue TBC)

July 26th and 27th         East (venue TBC)
October 25th and 26th     South West (Venue TBC)
