Bradford Community Sports Network
The aims of the Bradford CSN will be:
- Implement the b-active Strategy;
- Provide an accessible and welcoming melting pot of information from all partners, including individual services, strategies, facilities and initiatives;
- Provide support for Local Sports Alliances and a point of reference for things that need dealing with on a district-wide level.
- Provide a source of multi-sector contacts to ensure that users at all levels are referred to “someone who knows”. Also to ensure that action takes place and does not “fall between stools”;
- Identify gaps in provision and develop strategies with partners to fill them;
- Act as a key consultee for key planning and strategic initiatives within the district;
- Promote and publicise sport and physical activity in all its aspects and ensure that Bradford is a great place to do it ( “ThinkBIG” campaign);
- Liaise with key partners and external bodies to ensure that Bradford has its rightful place in the region and beyond;
- Lever in resources and funding where appropriate and ensure that funding strategies and portfolios reflect the wealth of activity in the district and that we all support each other;
- Support key local developments and schemes that increase the facilities, infrastructure and opportunities for sport and physical activity;
