The Federation of Disability Sports Organisation (FDSO)

The Federation of Disability Sports Organisations (FDSO) was formed in 1993 to create and provide sport and recreational opportunities for people with disabilities in the Yorkshire and Humberside regions.

FDSO work at a strategic level across Yorkshire and Humber to provide and support the development of all aspects of physical recreation for and by children and adults with disabilities.  The FDSO strives to:

• Work towards the integration of disabled children and adults in mainstream community provision.
• Empower and enable children and adults with disabilities to take up positions of responsibility in sport.
• Work with and through local communities and community provision in order to enhance their capacity to integrate people with disabilities into physical recreation.
