We are looking to appoint highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard working individuals to the following two positions within the Activity and Community Development Team based at Spring Hall, Halifax:
Sport and Activity Development Officer (Club, Coach and Volunteer)
Scale 6- £21,412 to £22,845 (subject to job evaluation/pay award pending)
37 hours

It is exciting times in sport and physical activity at the moment, especially within the next few years leading up to London 2012. The successful applicant will be the lead officer for all issues relating to club, coach and volunteer development as well as the main point of support for PE and School Sport Professionals and National Governing Bodies of Sport. You will need to possess all the personal and professional skills to really drive forward this area of work at a crucial time for sport and physical activity.
You will also require a minimum of 3 years experience in developing sport and physical activity either in a paid or voluntary capacity and have experience of developing, implementing and evaluating programmes. You must have 2 A-Levels or an NVQ 3 or equivalent and a degree or relevant professional qualification would be a distinct advantage.
