Sport and Activity Development Officer (Calderdale)
Activity and Community Development Team. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and hard working individual to the following position within the Activity and Community Development Team based at Spring Hall, Halifax:
Sport and Activity Development Officer*
Volunteer Co-ordinator
Scale 6 - £22,001 to £23,473 pro-rata
(subject to job evaluation/pay award pending)
18.5 hpw

With the London 2012 Olympics on the horizon it is exciting times in Sport and physical activity.We are looking for somebody who will be responsible for increasing the amount of volunteers there are in sport and physical activity in Calderdale.
Do you have excellent communication skills and are you able to encourage others?
Can you use your skills to help others develop and recognise their potential through volunteering?
If you have experience in developing sport and physical activities either in a paid or voluntary capacity and experience of working with or supervising volunteers then you could be the person we are looking for.
You must have 2 A-Levels or an NVQ 3 or equivalent and a degree or relevant professional qualification would be a distinct advantage.
