Get rolling at Whitcliffe!

If you were a demon on roller skates in your younger days and wonder if you still have the skill - or if you’ve watched children on skates and fancied having a go, there are lots of opportunities at Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre in Cleckheaton to get rolling!
Adults are welcome at the centre’s three roller skating sessions :- Quad Skating, on Mondays 5pm-6pm, price £3; Recreational Skating, on
Saturdays 4pm-5pm, price £2, and Women Only Roller Hockey, on Saturdays 5pm-6pm, price £3. The roller hockey session is for over-10s but the other sessions are for any age.

For those who are already have basic skating skills and want to move on in the sport, two roller hockey clubs are based at and train at the sports centre and welcome new players.
Cleckheaton Comets, who have U18, U21 and Seniors inline roller hockey teams, train on Fridays 7pm-8pm, cost £5 per session. It is recommended that anyone attending should be able to skate and have their own protective gear. Contact Lee Burdon, tel: 07846 178321, for more information.
The Spen Valley Flyers Roller Hockey Club runs quad roller hockey training sessions on Saturdays for under-13s, 5pm-5.30pm, and over-16s, 6.30pm-8pm, cost £5 per session.
