Spring Buzz will be available through schools and will delivered into households as a supplement to the March edition of the Kirklees Together magazine. You can also find out details about programme of Spring Buzz activities online at www.kirklees.gov.uk/buzz.

Cllr Mary Harkin, Cabinet Member of Culture and Leisure said "Spring Buzz is a great way to find out about the activities which Kirklees Council and its partner Kirklees Active Leisure is organising this Easter. Many of the events are free and there is a huge variety of things to do."

Kirklees Libraries and Information Centres are places where there will be plenty going on with Easter craft activities, herb and seed planting sessions and Spring stories and even bedtime story sessions for under5s!
Most of the places on the library events must be booked in advance - check out Spring Buzz for details.

There are activity days in Kirklees Museums and Galleries and plenty of events taking place. Museums are great places to visit with hands-on exhibits and lots to see and do. Visit Red House Musuem and have a go at Alice's Easter Rabbit Trail or try the Grand Easter Egg Hunt at Tolson Museum. Entry to Museums is free and they are open daily, Mondays to Fridays 11.00-5.00pm and weekends 12noon-5.00pm.

Come along to the parks for some family fun quizzes in the parks or bring a frisbee or football and just enjoy the Spring weather.

Huddersfield Art Gallery is running family art workshops through out the holiday for children and young people over 8 years where they can try making silk paper, painting portraits or mapping spaces and making space.

There's plenty going on at Kirklees Active Leisure sites with Shokk gym sessions, dance mat classes, swimming and funs sessions in the pools, playschemes and football coaching courses. Details of the complete programmes are available at sports centre receptions or at www.kirkleesactive.co.uk

There are plenty of sports courses to choose from football, cricket or multi-sports where each session offers a range of different sports to try out - most are free. There are some girls only sports sessions as well.

Whilst many Spring Buzz activities are FREE, some activities need to be booked and paid for in advance, others need those taking part to complete the activity registration form and bring it with them to the session. The registration form is included within Spring Buzz and can be photocopied as many times as needed. Further copies can be downloaded from the website www.kirklees.gov.uk/buzz or contact Kirklees Culture and Leisure Services on 01484 234000 for a copy of the magazine.
