Carnegie Challenge Cup comes to Bradford

The Carnegie Challenge Cup will be visiting Manningham Mills Sports Association on Wednesday 8th May 2.30pm, offering local school children and the wider community the chance to have their picture taken with a cup that professional rugby league players strive to achieve.

Leeds Metropolitan University are the education partners of the Rugby Football league and proud partners of the Carnegie Challenge Cup

The Carnegie Challenge Cup is the oldest rugby league knock out competition and as such the final of the Carnegie Challenge cup is one of the most prestigious rugby league events in the world. Last year ninety four teams started on the road to Wembley.

We are now at the crucial fifth round stage of the 2008 Competition with 16 teams including Bradford Bulls who have a home game against last years finalists Catalan Dragons on Sunday 11th May 3.00pm, battling it out to win quarter final places. In celebration of this, the Carnegie Challenge Cup is going on tour visiting local schools and sporting associations in the Bradford area.
