Deaflympics Charity Dinner and Auction
Rebecca Foster writes: As you may be aware I have been selected to be the athletics coach and assistant team manager at the forthcoming Deaflympics in Taipei in August. All government funding has been re-directed to London 2012. Therefore, every team member is tasked to raise £3,000 each.
As one of my fundraising events I have decided to organise a charity dinner and auction at Outwood Grange College in the Conference Theatre, on the 12th June 2009, the evening will begin at 7.00pm. The dress code is smart/casual.
Tickets will be offered at £10.00 per adult and £5.00 per child/student. This will include a hot dinner, with a vegetarian option and dessert. There will also be a licensed bar on the premises.
All ticket sales and auction amounts gathered will go direct to the Deaflympics. I have been lucky in gathering some excellent items for auction; I have enclosed a sample of the lots overleaf.
