Jump in for the launch of new paddlesport venue

For Paddlesport in Yorkshire, this could be the most exciting development in years, writes Gareth Field, British Canoe Union's PDO for Yorkshire and North West.

The foundation of the Manvers Waterfront Canoe Club and the subsequent lake facility and club house is going to offer a fantastic new watersports facility for all forms of Paddlesports at all levels.

Please take the opportunity on the 21st April to come along, bring your boat and paddle on the lake during the evening and to see the site of the new clubhouse. For those interested in becoming a member of this exciting new canoe club to come along to a meeting to be held from 7pm at the local offices of Express Parks development group.

The lake is just off Manvers way.

Manvers Waterfront Canoe Club

On the site of the old Manvers Colliery there is an exciting opportunity to become part of Yorkshire’s newest watersports facility.

Manvers Waterfront Canoe Club opens an invite to all Canoeist’s, Sailor’s, Angler’s, Windsurfer’s, Diver’s or Model Boater’s who are interested in
using this facility.

21st April 2008

A chance to paddle on the lake from 16.30. Anybody interested in becoming part of this new facility are welcome to attend a meeting at 19.00.
Reduced Membership is available on the night at £10.
