Michael Vaughan Cricket camps - An innovative new cricket programme for children
MVC camps are all running for two weeks commencing 30th July and camps around Yorkshire are running at:
Bradford- Bradford Grammar School
Leeds - Leeds Metropolitan University
Sheffield – Sheffield University
Wakefield - Queen Elizabeth Grammar School
York- The Mount School
The whole reasoning behind these ventures is to get children active and enjoying themselves through sport and physical activity and this needs to be spread and the help of Clubs amongst their Juniors is appreciated
Michael Vaughan Cricket is a 5 day summer programme designed to introduce boys and girls, from all communities to the game by using age specific programmes that enable children as young as 5 to start playing cricket, and more importantly, continue to play afterwards.
Ages are from 5-12 years old
Michael himself says: “To continue to be a strong cricketing nation in world cricket, it’s essential that we build a broad base of children not only playing cricket but excited about it as well. I hope that this new programme will see an influx of young players from all parts of our society go onto make cricket the national sport it should be”
Michael Vaughan Cricket is being backed by the King’s Foundation, a national children’s sports charity, whose programmes have already been enjoyed by over half a million children, both in the UK and overseas
We have all the necessary information to be able to feed children into clubs local to their area to enable them to continue their involvement in the sport and we are confident that Michael Vaughan Cricket will see more children enjoy the challenge and excitement of cricket in a way they’ve never experience before.
