About the Old England XI
The Old England XI is a team of former England cricketers who get together to play cricket matches for charity or fund raising events several times a year.
To date, the team has played well over two hundred games, and have raised nearly a quarter of a million pounds for charity.
Manager Jim Parks the ex Sussex, Somerset & England wicketkeeper is delighted to have the opportunity to return to Yorkshire with his England side for what will be their only fixture in the county this year.
The England squad to play Long Marston CC has been confirmed as:
John Lever (Captain), Joey Benjamin, Derek Randall, Jon Hardy, Geoff Humpage, Jim Love, Monte Lynch, Martin McCague, Clive Radley, Neal Radford, Arnie Sidebottom, Roger Tolchard.
Your chance to meet English Cricketing heroes from the past
"We are hoping that cricket clubs throughout the county will support our efforts and purchase 4 tickets ensuring that cricket lovers from all around the region get to see these cricketing heroes from the past.
"A number have clubs have bought tickets and are raffling them to raise money for their own clubs (a great idea).
"As tickets for this event are limited and must be purchased in advance (no ticket sales or paying at the gate on the day) early purchase is advised."
