The Prince of Wales Hospice - 10K Road Race - Runners and volunteers wanted
After last year’s successful 10K Road Race, the Prince of Wales Hospice is delighted to invite you along to this event on Sunday 28th September, 10am at Pontefract Park.
This fast undulating course provides runners with the opportunity not only to compete in a relatively new event in Pontefract but also help raise funds for their local hospice. All roads associated with the race will be closed to ensure safety, and the route continues through North Featherstone, following a simple circular direction before finishing back at the park.
This is strictly an over 16’s event and is organised under UKA Laws. Awards will be presented to those runners in both open and veteran categories, and the Hospice encourages runners of all ages over 16 to take part.
To register for this event, just contact the fundraising department today for your entry form or download a copy from our website – www.pwh.org.uk. The form can be photocopied so all your friends, family and fellow runners can take part, but please use a separate form for each person entering.
Entry is £7 for a UKA Member or £9 for non-members, for all entries received before the 17th September 2008.
Entries received after this date, or on the day, will cost £1 extra. The Hospice welcomes early registration in order to avoid queues on the day!
Nikki Hinman, Events Fundraiser, said “I do hope you will be able to join us at what I know will be a most enjoyable event”
