Understanding Faiths day workshops provide a practical and engaging introduction to the strand of Religion and Belief within the context of the Equalities and Human Rights agenda.

Faith Matters to every aspect of life

10th September & 13th November 2008

Leeds 9:30am-4:30pm

The recent Government report, Face to Face and Side by Side, highlighted the need to develop ‘building blocks’ to enable work in partnership with different communities. Our workshops are designed to create a shared space for learning where participants can build confidence and skills to bridge and link voluntary, community, faith sector and civic organisations.

The aims of the workshop are:

Improving the workplace practice and service delivery of public, private and voluntary organisations  Engaging with faith communities and people of faith in Yorkshire & the Humber
Raising awareness and encourage best practice.

Shazia Khan (Muslim) CIPD certified Equality and Diversity Consultant– 10 September

Robina Ahmed (Muslim) Founder of a diversity training project in the North West – 13 November

Attendance at this whole day workshop, including lunch and refreshments is £120 for delegates from public and private organisations and £60 for delegates from the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector.
