Westminster Briefing Conference: London 2012 - Delivering A Legacy for The Whole Country

The next Westminster Briefing entitled “London 2012 – Delivering A Legacy for the Whole Country – Where We Are Now and Where We Need to Get To” will be hosted by The House Magazine on Tuesday, 9th December 2008 in Westminster.

The 2012 Games are rapidly approaching and from September the world’s attention will turn to London following the completion of the Beijing Games.

Much progress has been made since July 2005, when the IOC awarded the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to London, but there is still much to achieve if we are to turn the Singapore vision into reality.

The Department for Culture Media & Sport recently published the London 2012 Olympic Legacy Action Plan which sets out the long-term benefits that can be achieved through hosting the games.

In light of this latest development and with preparations now well underway and plans rapidly taking shape, delegates at this timely Westminster Briefing Conference will have the chance to hear from a number of prominent experts with a whole range of perspectives about the opportunities the Olympics will present and how to capitalise most effectively on them both locally and nationally.

Please see the attached document for full details including breakout sessions.
