The weekend will be packed full of hands-on hockey activity. If you are a young leader between 14 and 21 years, have an England Hockey Leadership Award, have experience of leadership with other young people (e.g. in a mini hockey environment), you have confidence, good sense of humour, discipline, and essentially, you seriously want to be a part of the North’s biggest youth festival please send in the application form NOW!

There is an entry fee of £10 for the Young Leader Challenge if your application is successful.
Ideally you will already be qualified as an England Hockey Leader, but if you have a Leadership Award from another sport, or can secure and endorsement from your club Volunteer Coordinator we will also welcome you.

NORTH YOUNG UMPIRE CHALLENGE

Following the success of last years young umpire challenge the North Young Umpire Action Group are looking to recruit young umpires to umpire the mini hockey games at the North Youth Festival, receive coaching, and attend workshops as part of the challenge.

If you are an umpire aged between 14 and 21 years and you have confidence, a good sense of humour, discipline, and essentially, you seriously want to be part of the North ‘s biggest youth festival please send in the application form NOW! There is an entry fee of £10 for Young Umpire Challenge if your application is successful.

Ideally you will be qualified as a Foundation Umpire or Level 1 Umpire, but if you have your Young Umpire Award you will be considered for selection.

The young leaders and young umpires will be on camp at Maiden Castle, Durham from the afternoon of Saturday 21 April 2007—Sunday 22 April 2007. Accommodation will be provided.
