Can YOU ride 25 miles for your County in Bike Week?
20th June 2008
Are you on course to completing the challenge?
There are still a few days left to pitch in and help yourself and your county!
Running from the 14-22 June, Bike Week is the UK's annual celebration of cycling, so there's no better time to get out there and get the miles in.
To help you prise you out of your cars, or off your sofas, West Yorkshire Sport has set up a special Bike Week challenge for the county in association with British Cycling.
The idea is simple. Just log in and accept the 25 Mile Challenge for your county in the Challenge menu and start logging your miles.
Any miles logged between 14th and 22nd of June will be automatically tallied in your personal challenge, as well as against the totaliser for your county.
At the end of Bike Week, we'll add-up the mileage for each of the participating counties and see just how active your county has been!
You can log all of your rides during Bike Week: rides to work, to school, to the shops, your touring, racing, mountain biking or just plain old riding along, every mile counts.
How do I get involved?
To log your miles, all you'll need to do is:
- Register Free with Everyday Cycling, if you're not already a registered user
- Log into the site
- Go to Challenges, click 'Adopt a Challenge' and adopt the Bike Week 25 challenge for West Yorkshire
- Log your miles using the Activity Log throughout Bike Week
You'll be able to see how many miles you've logged and how many of them count towards your Bike Week Challenge (only mileage logged between 14th and 22nd June counts towards your challenge)
We'll keep you posted on how your county is getting on, with updates on your county's Bike Week Hub.
After Bike Week has ended we'll let you know how far each county has ridden.
Keep on logging those miles and enjoying www.everydaycycling.com
