Already our investment in excellence is making waves on the Olympic stage; 20 members of the GB rowing team heading to Beijing began their sporting journeys at clubs funded by Project Oarsome, linking clubs and schools around England.

Sport England is creating a dedicated Equality team to help ensure that everyone has the same opportunities to engage in high quality sport.
The move was welcomed by Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Chair of the new Commission on the Future of Women's Sport.

The more national governing bodies of sport know about their marketplace, the more able they are to respond to the needs of people taking part in their sport and to encourage new participants.
That's why Sport England has produced valuable and detailed evidence packs on 42 different sports.
