Tesco Community Awards seek worthy causes

The Tesco Charity Trust has announced that it is now accepting applications for projects that support the Elderly and Adults and Children with disabilities. The funding is available to community and voluntary groups who can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £5,000.
The Tesco Charity Trust has been in existence since 1987 and aims to provide approximately £600,000 in grants each year. In addition the Trust also provides grants for projects that support children's education and welfare. The next application round to support children's education and welfare projects will re-open on the 1st May 2009.
The closing date for applications for projects that support the Elderly and Adults and Children with disabilities is the 31st March 2009.
