West Yorkshire Sports Partnership annual report 07/08
It is great to bring you the 7th annual report for the West Yorkshire Sports Partnership. There have been many changes in the sector over that period and the Partnership has continued to grow and develop in many ways. This year has been no exception.
This year was the second in the life of the 3 year strategy and business plan and results are showing we are on track, not only to meet but surpass the headline targets we set out to achieve.
The West Yorkshire Sports Partnership structure has been fluid over time, responding to new initiatives and programmes and new ways of working with local authorities, governing bodies and schools. But the elements of strong partnership working remain constant: shared vision, shared values, and effective communication.
The other constant throughout the seven years has been the great people working in sport across West Yorkshire. The teachers, school and FE / HE staff, sports development officers, facility operators, coaches and club volunteers have been working to the same ends as a huge powerful force. This annual report is a reflection of their work with us over that period.
