Adventurous Activities
The Adventurous Activities Group represents a cross working group comprising five National Governing Bodies including Canoeing, Mountaineering, Orienteering, Rowing and Sailing.
The agenda facing the group is to adopt a ‘strength in numbers’ philosophy around the combined sports’ profiles with Local Authorities and their associated partners, the education sector, club and coach development work and other Bodies such as West Yorkshire Sport and Sport England.
The group is very much in its infancy, yet has already identified areas where there are common work areas such as access to facilities, women and girls ‘come and try it’ sessions, and health and safety issues.
