Equestrian sports

In the West Riding and in Kirklees in particular there is a wealth and experience of equestrian sports with the area having champions in Show Jumping, Carriage Driving, Eventing and Endurance living in Kirklees.
There is the possibility for horse riders of all abilities and ages to participate in a wide variety of equestrian sports in Kirklees: Carriage Driving, Cross Country, Dressage, Endurance, Eventing, Polo, Polo-cross, Show Jumping, Trec and Vaulting.

The British Horse Society is the main body for equestrian sports in Great Britain and it has groups in all areas.  It also is the governing body for Riding Clubs. Details can be found on their web site: http://www.bhs.org.uk/
